Hey gals!

Well, I SHOULD be doing homework! :/ Ugh Doesn't a girl get a break every once in a while LOL

I had all day at home...BY MY SELF! and I HAVE LOVED IT!

I really should have much more productive stuff, like housework, organizing, and HOMEWORK, but really I just talked on the phone, played on this computer and did a little housework....and made things and touching things up around here up a bit! C-:

I had this crazy idea for a ladder I purchased at a Flea market about 7 years ago, for a $1.50. I have had it leaned against a tree in our front yard ever since. But today...I BROUGHT IT IN MY HOUSE! I know, I know! Your has misfired in this brain of mine. But give me a minute and I will explain.

Soooooo....I brought it up on the porch, washed it down good, and sprayed a clear coat on it, to seal it. Brought it in and there you have it!

A really cute magazine holder, picture hanging and best of all it was FREE! Yay me! (Sorry, we have remolded the master bathroom, have not finished the master yet...so ignore the wall for ow. )

Have a terrific weekend, I get to go on a date night with Hubby tonight...going to see True Grit and dinner! woot! Its a good day!

Hey everyone! Long time since I have been here! :( Makes me sad to not get to post much, but taking 17 hours of classes this semester I am just glad I get to sleep sometimes! Ha!

I have however been making a few things, so I thought I would share some special Valentine's I created for some of my bunch!

First off, at Everyday Cricut last week the guest designer, Carrie, had a super cute little gift I decided my Mother-In-Law, niece and grad-daughter all needed for V-day! I had some shrinky dink material on hand so I simply followed her directions and made them these super cute "I love You" pins (That's I love you in sign language!)

I also participated in my friend Michelle's First Valentine Gift Exchange. It was great fun. I sent a box of Valentine goodies to Cali, including a little handmade picture holder with LOVE on the front and a quick Valentines card. Here is a quick view of the goodies I sent my girl Hope she loved them!

Next up is a little banner I made for our house. It was quick and easy, and I have it hanging on our Antique desk in the living room. Its a fun little touch!

I have also been working on birthday stuff, so here is a bag I did for my Mother in laws bday and a little dry erase board I made for one of my niece's.
Fun stuff and easy, quick and not so costly!

Wow, I have been doing something besides homework :) Hope this week is a blessing for each of you and that the weather is nicer than it has been for all of you and us! :-) Now I am off to do some more homework. :/ hehe It will all be worth it though!

Hello out there! I know, I know, I have not been here in a few weeks....school is BACK! :-)
However, today I have been taking a little break, well if you call cleaning a little a break :/.

Anyway, I ran across one of my very favorite cards ever! It was from my friend Michelle. (You should really visit her site and check out here great coupon deals, her Esty bag and swag store, and her AMAZING cards.) :-) Soooo, I had this old frame laying around. Silver, does not match ANYTHING really unless I used it for Christmas decor stuff... perfecto!

I grabbed the Krylon paint, sprayed it white, took the insert out, and put Michelle's card in it! GORGEOUS!!!

Perfect for a little spot in my kitchen! So see, easy and cheap:-) But major impact!!! Thanks Michelle!

:-) Hope that inspires you look around and remake something today.

"Heart" Day Wreath...FEATHERS! ;-)

Good Tuesday Morning all!
Hope your week is great! Me? Well I am getting stuff cleaned up, put up and ready to go back to school next week:-)

I am taking 6 classes this semester (yeah, I know...TORCHED!) But hey it will get me done that much quicker!

I have been working on some Valentine's Day goodness, as I want that stuff up before I go back. So today I am showing you the easiest thing I have evah made! REALLY!

I used a crochet hoop, a feather boa (red), some pink wire I had in my crafty cave, and some little gems (their hearts!, AWE) that I picked up at a garage sale last year for .10 a bag (there are 6 in each bag).

Wrapped the boa on the hoop, strung the gem hearts on to the wire and POOF! done...on the front door it goes!

Hope this gives you some inspiration....now I am off to clean some more...UGH.

A SWEET Valentine for my Daughter!

Happy Weekend everyone!

So since I have been out of school I have really been getting to craft quite a bit! :-) YEAH! I also made a "GOAL" (I don't like the word resolution, I never can seem to keep those!) when the new year started to have crafting goals set every month, so hopefully I can be ahead of those Birthday's, Mother's day, Fathers day, etc... and not be doing them the night before! **cough cough**

So with that thought in mind, January is getting ready for Valentine's day. :-) I decided to make a little something for my daughter and her finance for their house. Their last name will start with an H so that is why there is an H on it! Brilliant I know ;-) (But I can also use it for the wedding candy table...**insert evil laugh**)

I think she will love love love it and it will be useful for them for years to come!!

So on to the project:

Materials list:
Pre-cut Vinyl or your own Vinyl cutting machine
round fish bowl ($1 store find)
planter
planter tray
Krylon Black gloss spray paint
Gorilla Glue
Doll head knob (found a sack of these at Hobby lobby for $2.30)
Black Bling dots
Zebra ribbon (cause the daughter love black and white, and the zebra print)
Sealer

1.      Spray paint everything except the glass fish bowl.

2.      Use pre cut Vinyl or cut your own

3.      Put everything together with the gorilla glue and let set till dry
              (about 24 hours)

4.      I did a second coat of spray paint at this point and then sealed it with          a gloss sealer. (I did cover up the glass bowl with painters tape.)

5.      Added the vinyl and sprayed one more time with sealer.

6.    Fill with candy and enjoy!

I hope this inspires you today to go and gather some goodies and get to work on your own DIY project!

A little goodie holder

So for Christmas I did all handmade gifts for the family this year. My sister in law is super hard to create for, as she has everything and if not can go buy it!

But she is an amazing baker! So I decided she should have two, different size cupcake/goodies holders. I only have pictures of the tall one, as I was running crazy the last week and did not get the picture of the other one. Their last name starts with a W, so hence the W in the center. I really think she loved it!!! and it cost me...less than $5 to make! :-)

Have a gorgeous Wednesday and 5th day of 2011....I am working hard on getting things organized and setup for school to restart on the 18th :-)

***EDIT*** To explain what I did...

The tall one is 2 dollar store candle holders (you know the little crystal looking glass ones for a dollar.) I glued them with E6000 (Small end to small end. Then I sprayed them with Krylon gloss black spray paint, then sealer...Then just added the little ruffle ribbon and bling after that was dry. The plate is a hard plastic plate I found at Target for a $1 each(I think you can find those at Walmart, Target, maybe even dollar store) It was scratched up so I coated it with a coat of Krylon glossy black (front and back) After that dried I used a W that is Vinyl placed it on there, then sprayed it really good with a sealer. After everything is dry you flip the plate and glue the large piece of the "stand" to the bottom of the plate. I used E6000 (Takes a good 24 hours to set each time...I am on the look out for a strong faster drying glass/metal/plastic glue) :-) Then the short one was the same, but just one of the little glass candle holders, spray painted.

I could think of a thousand different things to do with these to change them up too! ;-) (They are a little Dr Seuss looking, don't ya think?)

I am going to enter these in the Crafting with the Stars contest! I think this will be great fun and really even more fun to watch!!!

Of course losing some weight, organizing and making sure I meet my school goals. YEP, I start back on the 18th of January.

Well hello out there!

Are you all ready for Christmas Day? Are all your gifts purchased? Some how my list is getting longer and longer the closer it gets...Not sure what is going on with that! ;/

However, I just have to show the funnest (is that a word?) thing I have made in a long time. As I have been saying for a couple of weeks I am decorating the table in Trees, with red, silver and white as the main colors. So I have been seeing these trees of all shapes and sizes all over blog land, but I ran across Cyndy's blog (she ROCKS!) at The Exchange and fell in LOVE with her fabric trees. (these things are EXPENSIVE at the stores...wheew!) She gave a great tutorial and now I have created four! WOWZERS! I just love them. (I must say so far my white ruffle tree is my most favorite! :-)

My plain is to whip one up tomorrow for an "extra" little something for my daughter to treasure for years to come.

Good Friday Morning ladies!

Are you ready for this, next Friday is Christmas EVE!!!! WHOO HOO! I feel like a kids all over again! :-) I really love Christmas, the lights the smells and most of all the celebration of Jesus Christ birth. What better gift can anyone get? NONE, I promise you.

So today I am FEATURED on the Whipperberry girls website!!! I am EX TACTIC! They are an amazing bunch as I mentioned before, and that particular picture was HORRIBLE! :( I was in a hurry so I just snapped and posted with out editing or anything...goes to show me I need to slow down a bit! ;-) But I must say I am honored and proud!

Well today I am going to show you my Feather Wreath :-) I have admired these for a couple of years now, but really I a not paying $50 plus for a wreath (hey call me cheap...I am :-) So I decided to make one myself. I used a .97 Embroidery hoop, and a $8.99 Boa (with a 50% of coupon so it was $4.50) and wrapped it up:-) I then added a real soft pretty snowflake that came in a package of 6 at the dollar store, and there you have it...my $6 feather wreath! I just love love love it so much. Now to figure out how to pack it at the end of season so it will be preserved for next year!

Well I am off to craft, clean and cook some more....LOVE IT!

White Christmas Tree

Happy Thursday! Are you getting all ready for Christmas? I am...I think. A quote I saw somewhere (can't remember where) said "It looks like my house threw up Christmas." That description fits my house about right now All the villages are in place all the decorations are set up, now on to cleaning and cooking...and finishing up the actual center of the dinning table! whew!

Slight Green tint Christmas Tree

I have decided this year t go with a bright green, red, white and silver on the dinning table, we actually use it for all the desserts Christmas day. So TREES are my main decor on the table and around this year. I decided after seeing so many pretty Christmas trees everywhere, to make some of my own :-) So I took out the old beads that I used on my tree several years ago, a hot glue gun and some trees forms and WHA LA! Sparkling trees. With the green bases, the green shows through, which was perfect, with the white its bright white and the silver one is so very sparkly! :-) So if you have some extra beads these are super easy and can be used year after year!

Handmade Paper Wreath

I must say I have a new craft site addiction! It is the Whipperberry blog! These ladies are so so talented! So in reading the blog at the end of last month, I read about a little project/challenge they are doing to give inspiration in giving to others! You can read all about the 12 Days of Christmas Event here.

So anywho, I decided I would take on this challenge, as I love giving things! Each of my creations are going to a FANTASTIC English Professor I had this past semester. She is a real gem!

My first little project for her is the WREATH. ALL created out of paper! It turned out pretty cute...and on Whipperberry she even has the tags so you can print! How great is that!

Happy Monday Morning!

Its a little chilly here, not to bad, I really like it! As it is here Texas we had 80 degrees on Saturday. :/ So the cool crisp weather is really nice, as it is more the season. However, I know some of you are getting snow! Wish we would! :-)

Anyway, I have finals today, Wednesday and Friday, and then the semester is OVER!

Can I get a woot woot! :-)

I created these wreaths real quick last night to go on this mirror this year. They turned out pretty darn cute. VERY VERY easy and cheap! I picked up some embroidery hoops from HL, some garland from dollar store and wrapped these babies up! Easy peasey!

Thanksgiving Tables

I hope each of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I did! This is the first year in 3 I have not had Thanksgiving and Christmas at our house. So it was nice. We are having Christmas here, as I finish up class next Wednesday so I will begin to get things ready....whew!

But of course, even though we were spending Thanksgiving at My Brothers house this year, I created the place cards and napkin rings...heck I had to make something! ;-) Its who I am! hehe.

I have been working on some Christmas goodies and should be back to posting again everyday soon....till school starts back in January anyways! :-)

Baby Shower goodies

Hello everyone,
Bet you were thinking I would never post another craft! HUH! I was beginning to wonder. Well below I have a follow up to all the goodies I made for my niece's baby shower. It turned out beautiful and she loved it all.

Baby Shower Time

Good morning blog world!

Gosh it seems like forever since I posted...oh wait it has been! I am in college now (yes again)! Going for dual major this time, so life is really wild! I have 14 hours this semester, so I am running around like crazy! I am getting some crafts in here and there...I have to relieve the stress somewhere! :-)

I have been working on my niece's baby shower goodies, so there will be more once the shower is actually put together next week, but here is what I have been working on.

Here bedding set is called "Ahoy" its super cute and consists of boats and whales and monkeys, in pastel colors....So...now I had better go get moving this morning....Mondays and Wednesday's are 12 hour days at school!

This is a wall hanging shadow box for "baby Landon's" room, the other is the little Whales that will be used on some corsages at the shower!

I am taking a quick break from homework for a "second" :-) and thought I would show you the little gift bags I created for my great-nephews birthday party. I made these with my cricut, and the Toy Story Cart. He loved them, and of course his theme was Toy Story, so it worked out great :-)

A good friend of mine said school would cut into my crafty time, and it has, but I have to do some stuff, or I might go cookey! ...well COOKIER! :-)

Birthday Girl!

Good Morning all!

Just skipping through here real quick. Jory is in his Senior year, but is also taking college classes and some more of those start today! :0 So I am on the run.

I am going to show you the birthday goodies I created for my niece who just turned 11 last week.

First off, you should know she had a skating birthday party!!! Not that you could not have guessed that after you see everything...tehe!

First I created her invites using the FREE template from Lauren Meader (its located over on the Papertrey site HERE) Its supposed to be a stocking, but hey....its a skate this time:-)

I used my cricut and the storybook cart to created "LETS ROLL".

The banners for her "BIRTHDAY GIRL" and "GRACEN" I also used my cricut...these where super fun, and also way EASY with my cricut! :-) My sister used te "Gracen" banner behind the candy table on the mirror, and "Birthday Girl" on the front of the candy table. Is that table not ADORABLE?

Lastly I made her a set of 20 monogrammed cards for thank yous and other notes (she writes her big brother now, he left for college this year...so sweet!)

Wedding cupcakes!

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Today is a quickie post, off and running!

Here is the cupcake wedding cakes my sister-in-law and I made. :-)

Believe it or not the cupcake stand was made on the cheap! :-) We picked up the large glass mirror on the bottom at Ikea for $15, the clear glass and smaller mirrors are from Hobby Lobby at $3 each after sale prices, the centers are the glass candle holders from the Dollar tree for a $1 each:-)

We glued it all together and it really turned out beautiful! We will forsure be using it at my daughters wedding next July for the candy table! :-)

Wedding...this way

Well HELLO out there!

I feel like I have not been here is forEVER! goodness! Things have been busy busy for us here...so I am going to show you a few things I came up with for a friend of our wedding.

They needed signs to point folks to there grand event, so first of you see my MOCK up poster. (I forgot to take pictures of the finished product! UGH) But you get the idea, and of course the lines where not on the final pieces.

I picked up poster board from the dollar tree for 2 for $1, heavy foam board for a $1 piece. I created all of the letters and the arrow with my Cricut Expression (I so LOVE my machine!) I did the signs on the poster board, then backed them with the foam board to make them sturdy. I purchased a contractors packet of stacks and that is how we placed them along the route. I made five and they really helped people out, since the wedding was a ways out in the country.

I will be back tomorrow to show you what else we did for this wedding, stay tuned, you wont want to miss the cool trick we used for the cupcakes!

Charity DT Stamp- Sneek Peek!

I am so excited to show off this set! I'd also like to take a minute to thank Laura for giving me the opportunity to help create this set and for being a part of the DT4. I have enjoyed each and every member of the DT4, and getting to know you. Ms. Laura you are an amazing lady, and I am glad to call you friend.

An exciting new thing happened with DT4. Our team was given the opportunity to create a brand new stamp set for a charity of our choice. We have chosen Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. This charity supports the research and cure for childhood cancer. You can click on the link to find out more about their foundation.

We have named our charity stamp set "LEMONADE STAND". This set will release on Wednesday September 1st, 2010 on the Creative Clear Stamps Store website. The size of this set is 6x8 and features 20 clear stamps. The cost of this set is $20.00, of which $10.00 will be donated to the foundation throughout the month of September. The first 10 orders will receive a free secret bonus item with their purchase.

The Creative Clear Stamps Store will be closed tomorrow Tuesday August 31, to prepare for some changes to the site before the release. A new rewards program is headed our way!

Here is my sneak peek of this set!

This first card I made for my friend that is going through breast cancer treatment right now. I gave this to her a couple of weeks ago with a meal. She is a really sweet lady, and my neighbor. Please pray for her, she is a true gift of a friend.

The next set is also for her, I will be delivering it tomorrow. It has a card, a homemade body scrub that is Lemonade-Tea Scrub, and a little notes clip so she can attach doctors appointment cards to it. I think she will enjoy it!

WOOT! Hubby will be home this evening! I have really missed him! :-)

Today I am sharing one of MANY cupcake projects you will be seeing over the next couple of weeks. (My son's girlfriend, who happens to be one of my best friends daughter has a birthday in September, she will be 16 and she LOVES cupcakes!) The first little project is a bookmark...I had to remove the top of this one, due to the fact it is a bookmark and would not survive the beating I am sure it will take!

Next I worked on her gift bag, I am thinking I will add HEY CUPEYCAKE words to the top...still thinking on that, but the giant cupcake is so flippin' cute!

Good morning everyone!

I have a quick card this morning to show you. I used my cuttlebug folder in my big shot to emboss the base, an SU border punch to run across the center, cut the small stamped piece with my cricut, punched the circle with my SU circle scalloped punch and used a MS flower punch for the center....I love this sentiment, don't we always have people in our lives we are SO PROUD of!!! This CCS sentiment can be used for so many things...new job, graduation, passing a test, getting a promotion....the list goes on and on!

Thursday...some true Faithfulness!

Hello Gals,
God has shown true faithfulness and love to our family yesterday. He showed that he still does miracles! My nephew (18) rolled his truck on his way to see my Dad...(My Dad and Momma M live in the MIDDLE of NO WHERE...LITERALLY!) My Nephew is leaving for College Friday morning and was going to see Dad before he began his college journey. His truck is totalled, he is really beat up, but Lord God Praise you! He is alive and no major damage! Seeing the truck site and hearing the details from the Department of Public safety, he is safe and a home tonight! A true miracle!!! Love those you love today, forgive those you haven't! Life is to short to take that chance!

Now on to my projects, I created these for a SCS swap I was in for Rolodex cards. You place the Rolodex cards in a holder and these make great gifts for friends and family, they are great devotions for bedrooms, offices, desks, etc...

Hey I figure if I have to get older I should embrace it right?!

So I got to create a little last night...WOOT! Dear hubby had to leave for out of town job again :( (sigh...booo!) (But hey it does pay the bills!$) He was really sad that he would not be here with me for my Bday! He has been with me the last 15 of them! :-) Oh well, I will get to celebrate with him this weekend, as he is working at a place on the river, so I am leaving on Friday to go up there and we will celebrate then!

So on to WHAT I created....

I used the MOJO MONDAY sketch.

I also want to play in the Challenge over at Stampin Sisters in Christ....its a great challenge, this week it is based on the

Scripture:
Proverbs 17:22 "A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."

The challenge was to create a card that was "clean" and makes you laugh! Laughter is such a great blessing the Lord has given us! Our Great Physician is such a kind and giving God to have given us such a gift!

So laugh a little today...weather its at yourself or with someone else!

What do you think about Hunny Bear?

He is just adorable, huh?!!! I so love the balloons, and his happy little smile!

I figured today I would post a Birthday tag (mine is tomorrow!:0) using HIP HIP HOORAY.

I used Hunny Bear on the front of the tag, with the "Just for you" sentiment, on the I chose the "hip hip hooray birthday" circle for the back. I used my pearlesant water colors to color everything, added some flock to Hunny's belly, some buttons, stardust pen to outline the balloons and package, some pebbles to spruce up the buttons & blue balloon, a bit of stickles and several fun ribbons!

I think I will give this little jewel to my best friends daughter on her package, as her Birthday is Wednesday! :-) She will love it!

Tags are quick and fun...go get some Creative Clear Stamps and start making some tags! ;-)

A HOT Monday & A BIG Birthday weekend!

Happy HOT Monday! :-)

We are getting some major heat here in Texas now that August has arrived! WHEW! I mean like 102 in the shade! If you are getting this heat, stay hydrated and get as much AC as you can, it can be great for the swimming pool, but really bad if you don't take some cooling breaks!!

Today I am showing off a couple of the little projects I made for my nephews birthday's! Two turned 21 & the other one turned 19 this weekend! We had a swimming party which was a great family fun!

Each one got a little tote, with different theme types as to what they like, two of them love to hunt, so here is one of the totes with a tag attached, I used the "Deer Hunting" stamps from CCS for the deer tracks, then the Happy Birthday Happy came from the "Hip Hip Hooray" set. This set is so super versatile, and I love the honey bear that it has, so I can color, but the nephews ages just would not allow for that! LOL The other is a little pocket tag card which I did to match another one of the totes (not pictured here) But I also used the same two sets...they are just so perfect!

I actually grabbed a few minutes and finished up the Mojo Monday from last...Monday! YEAH! I played for along time along with the Verve Mojo Monday challenges, then had to take a break for a while. Hopefully I can do tomorrows Mojo Monday, tomorrow afternoon and post it on Tuesday! :-) Thank would be wishful thinking with things around here lately, but we can always hope!

So here is what I created, using scraps...yes scraps! WOW! I embossed the base card then followed the sketch. Go go give it a try! They are really fun, and this weeks sketch was great.

How is everyone on this bright and beautiful MONDAY Morning! hehe!

Well, I love technology and the Internet, but being on again off again ALL weekend was not my idea of fun! I could not even preloaded this post or any others! GRRR

Enough of my whinny self! Onto my card.

I made this card for my sweet hubby who will be leaving out of town again next week, and I am so gonna miss him! I don't tell him enough how much I really appreciate all he does and how hard he works, so I thought this card would be spot on!

The stamps are from the Creative Clear Stamps set called True Love. I used a little bling, a Martha Stewart Border punch, stamped on my glue pad, embossed with ZING red embossing powder and added punched hearts with some red and polka dot ribbon. I think he will love it!

Good Monday morning stampers!

OH MY GOODNESS! I had this post ready to go, yet failed to get it finished up, and actually schedule it! So sorry! It is Monday...maybe you can forgive me...:-)

This little card I created for my Monday post over on CCS. I did this one for my daughter who just got engaged a couple of weeks ago. I am sending it to her and her Fiancee with a little bag of bath goodies. Just wanted her to know I am thinking about her...(and ALL the wedding plans! ha!) Thank goodness its not till July 2011! WHEW!

I used CCS stamp set "TRUE LOVE", stamped the background on the Pomegranate, glazed random striped Bazzill, with a black card base and Kraft from PTI.

Blessings, good morning and all that other stuff! ;-)

Hope today is one you will find a little time for you! A few weeks ago I showed some "pampering me" swap bags I had made for a swap at Splitcoaststampers.....well let me just say, these ladies return swap where DA BOMB! I got some of the greatest ideas, and fantastic little goodies.

So yesterday, I cleaned my master bath from the ceiling to the floor, the master bedroom the same thing....I mean bleachey smellin'! I love that clean smell, although dear hubby thought I was trying to poison him...hehe! :-) Then for my treat, once we finished dinner, I treated me! The picture should explain...nothing like just soaking in a hot tube with candle and a glass of...oh well ICE WATER last night...but so refreshing and fun! I should really do that more often...and so should YOU!

Now on to a little project I created for another swap for Everything Alterable that I am in (same one in with the mini comp books below). I signed up for two spots in the framed art category....these are so awesome to give as gifts, and easy to create! Every time I find cheap, cute and sassy frames, I buy them! (PS on the FRIENDS frame the bling looks like it is pink...guess the sun, but its not, its clear! with the teal bling in the center! :-)

YIPEE! :-) Hope you have great plans, I would really like to just stay home....all weekend and craft. maybe just maybe that will happen...still remains to be seen! ;-)

I am showing some mini composition books along wth matching pens I created for a swap I am in. They turned out really cute, I love these for little gifts and stocking stuffers etc (UGH, I just mentioned Christmas didnt I? Sorry! but it is coming...hehe)

These were completed with a PTI paper pad and some PTI stamps I purchased from a friend. I think they turned out really cute. The pens are RSVP pens, matching paper inside then covered with reline tape and rolled in pearl clear beads from SU.

Hope this inspires ou to get your craft on!

Happy Happy WEEKEND!

Do you have great plans for the weekend? Oh boy do I! I get to move my mother into an assisted living community! hoo hoo....I don't like moving stuff! UGH! For someone who has not moved in 15 years, I seem to get to move others WAAAAYYYY to much!!!
Oh well, its a good thing!

Onto my little project....this is another project I created for the Pamper Me Swap on SCS! I love how this one turned out too! (I showed the other one on a previous post...Tuesday this week I believe)

Anywho...I purchased the bag from The Dollar Tree...yeap, $1! Yeah me! I created the tag with my cricut and then added some bling. The RELAX stamp on the back of the tag is from Taylored Expressions. This one was themed around a sugar bath scrub recipe I found.

TUESDAY - "Pamper me"

Good morning my friends!

Well, its Tuesday...hopefully today will not be as rough as yesterday.Yesterday was just "one of those days!" KWIM!

I am going to be showing you some little "Pamper Me" bags I created for a swap I was in on SCS. The goal was to send 4 bags with a tag, 2 recipes (One for a recipe of soap, soak, oil, lotion, etc, and the other for a relaxation technique or tip), add at least two things to pamper yourself. Needless to say these will make great gifts for the girls, so I signed up for 4 spots! ;)

This is the first set I created. It was great fun and I think they would make super gifts.

First off the little bag I purchased at the Dollar store, I really think they are kids purses, but they worked super! Then I added a brad with the little tag to the bottom :it's all about me! I created the tag with my cricut and several carts. I made the recipe cards with matching papers, and a little punch for the high heel shoes. Since this set included my "foot soak" I added the high heel everywhere and included the tip for aching feet!

Included in the bag is homemade Peppermint Foot scrub, votive holder and candle, both recipes, a foot pumice on a stick, and little cotton socks to put on after your soak.

Hope this inspires you to put together a little something for yourself....and pamper away...I know I need it today! ha maybe later!

I have created a get well card, using believe it or not the "Happy Camper" set from Creative Clear Stamps. I got to thinking that BUG OFF would be super cute for someone who is feeling yucky with a bug! :-) ha!

I used my labels nestable to cut out the stamped image and a little punch to do my bugs.

Happy Birthday America!!!

I have several little projects all wrapped into one really quick post today! We are headed out to our 4th of July Celebration at Andice (Its a little town right here next to us, with a fantastic fireworks display) We eat good brisket sandwiches and eat homemade ice cream too! :-)

I made these little pinwheels to decorate the car as we sit there and wait for the fireworks! :-)

These are the cupcakes I made for us to eat while celebrating!

Here is a little box I created for my sweet sister-in-law who picked up some cute tops and stuff for my Granddaughter, as a small Thank you! (Blurry I know, but I am in a hurry! LOL)

Next is a birthday card I made for my Granddaughters little brother, for when she goes home, he is not my Grandson, but he is super sweet and loves me, he will be two this year!

TOTAL ECLISPE...

Good Wednesday...half way there day! :-)

If you actually know me personally, you would be VERY surprised that I even read the Twilight Series. I am usually very conservative with my reading and life really.

However, after much research last year, I decided to go ahead and read the books....hello one week later, my family wanted to know if the were ever getting dinner or conversation from me again! LOL Seriously, I read all 4 books in 6 days!!! I was hooked! Since then I had read the 5th "novella" as well. I have re-read these books many times. This is NOT a vampire story...it is a story of Young Love and Sacrifice, even if it hurts, because you love someone. Sweet stuff I tell you! ;-)

So with that said, I have a large group of friends and I who go to the release of the movies at Midnight when they release.

We had a great time last night...I must say I was a little disappointed with how they left out VERY important things from the book, but the worse for me was how they changed around the sequence of events from the book, some of those things where just plain strange! They added a few things that never happened...but hey, if you have not read the book you would never know. I just think you lose a lot of the true story of this book by how they portrayed it! Maybe I should have directed this one!!! LOL ;-)

Anywho, here are the goodies I created for us all...I made cupcakes, candy boxes with "photos" and little brown bags with different movie sentiments on them...we met at Starbucks and had a little before party, then headed to the theater at 9:30, got our seats and had a super time before show time too.

All in all a great night!

Today is a little banner piece I did for my best-friends daughter who went to Germany! She was gone for 21 days, as an exchange student....she had a great time, but we missed her much and she missed us too! (PS she is also my son's "best" friend ***WINK WINK***)

I created the banner using my cricut, then cut out the words with the story book cart!

Sophie, loves cupcakes, so I made her some, placed them in the "S" shape, and created the little tag from Clearly Dollar Stamps to finish it off! She loved it all, and we are grateful she is home!

Hope each of you have a blessed and happy Tuesday...I will cause I am going to see ECLIPSE today at midnight with all my besties! hehe I feel like a kid again when I say that! HA

Happy Monday everyone!

Today is my last post as June's Guest Designer for CCS! I have so loved this...and I so love Laura and the design team for their kindness and amazing talent!

I hope today's card inspires you to try something a little different. I started out creating my base with SU card stock, I used Me and My Big Ideas, "Sanctuary" for the designer series papers. Of course the stamp is from CCS Sending love. The butterflies are the SU butterfly punch...Such a great stamp for those times when a card is needed.

I am glad to make the friends I have on this month's little stint....and hope to keep seeing you all!

SUPER way to use those SCRAPS!

Good Saturday Morning!

I have a really quick and easy tutorial today on how to use up your scraps, and make so cute gifties and party favors!

I made these binder clips a couple of years ago for our place cards at Thanksgiving, then everyone had one to take home with them (Of course it was not a HIPPO! ***laughs***) I actually made these for my sister's little girls, for a very small birthday party she is having for the 8 year old. But you can make anything with these!!! They are going to take digital pictures when the kids arrive with the birthday girl and print them, then place them on the table as place setting...then they can take them home with a bag of goodies!!!

The other is a simple clothes pin, cut your paper and embellish as you wish! I added a magnet strip (I always recycle my old ones...) to use on the frig...it makes a great added extra to a gift set, or your can make a whole set for someone!!!

Hope you enjoy these...now go use up those scraps! (***wink***)

Here are the supplies I used today:
Scissors
Redline tape
recycled magnet
clothes pin
scrap paper
Binder Clip (You can really use any size, but this one is medium size)
embellishments and bling!

It is very easy to do these, basically you trace around either the binder bottom or the clothes pin, cut it our, place your redline tape, peel backing, and place your embellishment or paper...and decorate! Fun stuff...FYI, the clothes pins make great CHIP clips too..(But less embellishments as they won't hold up well as a chip clip but very cute covered with paper! :-)

Good morning!

I hope each of you where able to celebrate Father's Day with the men in your life.

My project today is what I gave my brother for Father's day. :-) He really liked it! It was fun to create!

I made the little shirt with a tie card from a tutorial on SCS. It was a lot of fun! I used the Stick Alphabet from CCS, to stamp BROTHER. I so love this set! I used the Deer Hunting set to stamp DEER. I loved the way it turned out!

The other little piece is a template from "Papertrey Ink, by Lauren Meader", it is called "Let's do Lunch". This template is really easy and it turned out great for a little treat of peanut M&M's for him.

I once again used my Deer Hunting set to create the special little tags that say Private Property & Big Game Hunter, and of course the Deer Tracks all over it and he just thought it was super!

I hope this gives you a little inspiration to try something new and fun this week.

Well we are going to my Daddy's today, so dear hubby got his girts yesterday!

Let's just say we had some amazing steak last night! He is so excited to get his new grill, and he love love loved, the homemade salsa and his "tool box" of goodies. (I posted that picture last Monday)

Great Gift Tutorial - 2X2 Tiles

I have created a little tutorial for you today. FUN STUFF!

These 2x2 tiles are great with matching recipe cards for recipe holders, I have also given them as gifts for picture holders with a picture I have taken, and they work super around the house as little note holders. FYI, they sold great when I took them to a craft fair around Christmas time, they make great Teacher or Sunday School gifts.

Stamps of your choice (That will fit on 2X2 tile) (Here I am using a Flower Flourish from CCS, a time for Prayer, and the Bee from CCS Happy camper)

WHAT YOU NEED:
Scissors
Sharpie Markers
Staz-On Ink
Heat Gun
Clear Embossing Powder
Embossing Buddy
E600 glue
Small binder Clip

1.    Cut tiles from main piece & trim sides
2.    Sand the sides smooth
3.    Clean well
4.    Use embossing Buddy all over tile

5. Stamp your image with staz-on
6. Pour embossing powder over image & tap off

7. Use your heat gun until the image shines
8. Color image as desired - I used Sharpie...(You can use inks or chalk as well, just heat set either with embossing gun or in the oven on 250 degrees for 10 min)

9. Spread E6000 glue around sides of tile and wrap ribbon around the sides and cut off excess.Embellish now with bling pearls or other embellishments.

10. CHOICE: You can cover with Diamond Glaze or Spray with Top Coat to seal. (Here I covered with Diamond Glaze) Be sure to let this dry.

11. Now place your binder clip on back with E6000 glue & let dry.

NOW, GO...look through all your stamps and see what you can come up with! :-)

I created this card using my NEW Clear Dollar Stamps. I so love this set! It will be perfect for my dear husband and other guys in my life. I also created this card for the challenge over there this month, Clearly Inspired Challenge #14 ~ Birthday Bash!

The card I made is called a Surprise Pop Up card. I found the tutorial HERE on SCS. I really like the look of the card for a guy, and the little surprise sentiment inside.

I am still working on coloring with my copics and doing more tutorials everywhere I can find them to practice! :-) One day maybe I won't look like I am 3 when I am coloring ***giggles***!

She is in her early 50's and has terminal lung cancer. To make it worse, her sweet dachshund Molly passed away a couple weeks ago. Today we learned her cancer has spread to several other areas and her time is running out. Quickie post today, just wanted to show you a little card I made for my sister-in-law, since her boys graduated in Saturday. She has done so much for them....and one of them has give her holly YUCK! for several months now....I look forward to the day he will look back and see how really special and great his Mom is! Cause she is a super women! REALLY. So i created this card to brighten her day Saturday and tell her how proud I am she graduated her "real" son as well as her adopted son. One special girl she is!

CCS Monday Girl for June!

Good Monday Morning stamp fans!

My name is Shelly, I will be the MONDAY girl for CCS in the month of June, as I am the guest designer for the month! ;-) Be sure to come visit the entire Design Team 4 all week for great projects and inspiration! Hope you have some stamping fun planned before or after work today... :-) Seems we are all so busy these days, but we really MUST take sometime for our creative hobby too! ***wink wink***

Now on to today's card. (FYI, the pictures today are HORRIBLE, my camera is on the fritz! ugh!) I created this for some friends of ours who are going through some rough times with Grandparents being ill and such right now. That is never easy and I wanted to let them know we love and are saying prayers for them. The Time for Prayer set, and the Sending Love single sentiment set are just perfect for that! I also used the CCS Sunday Sketch Play for this one as well. (I love this weeks sketch, it is very versatile and quick!)

I used the "Hunny Bear" praying with the raccoon friend on the outside of the card. I stamped with bashful blue ink by SU, them embossed with "sparkle" embossing powder for a little shimmer then colored it with my copics (still learning! :-) ). I placed the layout, then placed some rhinestones on the side in the baby blue. I added a little stickles in just a few places for some added glimmer as well. On parts of the bear and some of the grass I also used some "flocking" to give it the fuzzy feel. (Not sure you can tell that my camera is being NOT NICE! grrr!) On the inside of the card I use sentiment from Sending Love, and the flower borders from the Time for Prayer set.

Good morning gals!

Hope everyone is enjoy this Friday! Me, I am still scraping! My sister-in-law gave me a box of about 1000 pictures of my nephew, which where not even in any sort of order! UGH! PS, I got these two weeks ago, then got sick for a week....a HELLO! Graduation is TOMORROW! I started on both boys books on Monday, I have steadily been scrapbook ever since!

My other Nephews pictures where all digital, as they had not had him as long....so his was a LITTLE easier, I did a digital book for him, still have to go back and embellish it as well, but it is not near as big! :0!

I also created these little "grad" caps as a favors, I will be filling them with candy for each of them.... I have been busy busy busy....I think I still have about 20 more pages to go, so I had better get back to work. they graduate at NOON tomorrow!

I am also sharing a picture of their sweet family here, so you can see who I am doing this for. This is my brother, his wife (my best friend), both their grads and their little girl! (when this is over I am starting on her album NOW!) LOL :-)

Good Morning HOPPERS....WELCOME to the CCS Blog JUNE Blog Hop!

My name is Shelly & I am the Guest Designer for June! I am very excited to get started with Laura and this team of girls. The CCS Design TEAM 4, all have some FABULOUS blogs and I can’t wait to see what is coming next. :-)

Here are a few answers to some questions Laura had for us...
Are you more of a Card Maker, or Scrapbooker? Both, but I am really behind on my scrapping!
Describe your craft room/area to us. (messy,neat,photos?) We completed the remodel on my room a couple of months ago, and I have yet to get it straightened out! EEK I have inspiration hanging everywhere! Most of my room is open shelves or clear containers of sorts, as if I can’t see it I won’t use it! :-) and right now...it is VERY MESSY!
If you could only have TWO tools in your craft tool kit what would they be? Besides the basics of my trimmer, scissors, adhesives, etc, I would have to have my Crop A Dile and one of my die cutting machines!! :-)
Have you ever been on a DT before? I have never been on a DT or a Guest Designer, so this is gonna be a fun month! ;-)
What can we look forward to from you this summer? I love to alter as well as make cards, so you just never know what might pop up...I love to try new things....
What are your thoughts for the stamp set DT4 gets to design? How exciting is that! To get to create your own stamp set as a team! WOWZERS! What an honor!

My project today is an altered piece.

With Fathers Day right around the corner, this set was perfect for my hubby!

I painted a canvas using making memories paints, let that dry and attached the pictures. I stamped “deer tracks” on the right side, the “Big Game Hunter” (I love the font & orientation of this stamp!), then stamped the “Live 2 Hunt” directly on the picture at the top. Placed some buttons on with wire run thru and there you have it.

I think hubby will really love this, as our son is 17 now, and he just mentioned the other day how he misses all the stuff they used to do together.

Saturday...EXCITING NEWS!

GOOD MORNING....and HAPPY Memorial Weekend to all of my American friends.

Hope you have some fun plans for this long weekend here in America! :-) I have plans to rest up, due to last weeks illnesses....ah yes, REST and laundry (NO laundry fairy came and finished it while I was sick! BOOO!)

First off I have some exciting news....I am the June Guest Designer for CCS stamps!!!(See my little badge to the left of your screen!) can you say whoot whoot! Laura has some great sets over there, I especially love that she has several that are great for Dad's!!! Our blog hop begins on Tuesday, June 1st, come over and meet the new design team, so and get in on the prize giveaways!!! :-)

Now to show you the rest of the goodies I created for our friends daughter. This is a printers tray by 7 Gypsies, I thought these were very neat, should look really great in a dorm room :-) It matches the themes of the rest of Katy's stuff, as she is a western girl! ;-) Then the bag, I just used a Hollister bag (I save them all! HA) and added the paper and the letters for her name....still had that rustic feel.

Good Morning everyone!
Have ya missed me? I have missed me too. I have been very very sick! YUCKY! Been in bed for about 4-5 days, I did/do NOT have time for this right now. Its Graduation season and I am trying to finish up several projects! eek!

Well, speaking of that, on to a sweet little project I have completed for a friends daughter who is Graduating from High School. She is a REAL cowgirl! She was accepted into the Equestrian program at Baylor University and really really excited about that. She has been riding horses and the likes since we have known this family (she was like 8 when we meet them!). I wanted her card and gift to be something that reflected her. I have been "building" it in my mind for a while!

The necklace I created using a DOMINO....I so love this, and this particular one is the #10 (for 2010) get it? ***giggle*** I covered the front with a neat Happy Trails Paper, then used a "cowgirl" I found at a small scrap store in Salado. I added the little pink bling and colored just a tad with my copics! :-) Then covered the whole thing with Diamond Glaze to be sure everything stayed put!

As for her card, I found a great "grad cap" template online and printed and cut that out in Purple (That is her school colors Purple and White) Yet again I used some pieces from the paper I found at the scrap store and created the card...I LOVE it! Cowgirls do it better!!! ***giggle giggle*** For the inside, I created a small tag and stamped the "congrats grad" and "we are proud of you" from my Studio G stamps (love em!).

Then for the box, I covered that in the same Happy trails paper I used for the necklace and inked up the sides of the box, added some cotton batting and WA LA!! There you have it! :-)

I think she will love it, let me know what you think!

Sketch Challenge CVSC8 - Saturday Evening

Can you believe it! ***SECOND POST TODAY***

I just had to post this little card I made for my sweetheart! <3

He works so hard all week long, and has been working out of town for the last two months, he usually gets home on Thursday evening, then goes on Friday & Saturday to a Ranch here in the area he works on, and works there all day both of those days, Church on Sunday morning, then heads back out of town on Sunday evening....BUT, this week he took off on Friday morning with a friend...headed to South Texas to his Uncle's Ranch to shoot some "Aoudad" (It's that funny looking sheep thing!hehe)

So he is coming home tomorrow, so I baked him up some yummy Chocolate Chip cookies and this little card. I created this card using the Creative Clear Stamps Sunday Sketch Challenge...I was almost to late! YIKES! But here it is. Come play along tomorrow for another fun challenge, Laura has some great sketch challenges!

Good morning everyone!

Hope you have some great plans for the weekend! Me, I just want to get well! My allergies are KILLIN! me...for-reals! I have been down for two days, but I really have no time for this! I have two nephews who are Graduating, and really, I have to finish their scrapbooks for their Graduation Parties, get their Thank you Cards completed and the candy tree with $$$ I am making for them done! UGH!

No time to lay around! Plus I have two girls who are friends kids who I have to get stuff whipped up for! Today I am showing you my two nephews Thank You cards. Funny thing is they were born the same day, same year, they are best friends and one is my brothers son, the other is their adopted son (Guardianship really...but same thing to us) I is very similar to the movie that came out called " The Blind Side" and we love him!

I did the last name initial for the center piece, I ran the white card stock from Papertrey through my Big Shot with a cuttlebug die that says Thank You so much, then ran the silver 2" circle through using a sixxix embossing folder, then from there I cut their initials on my cricut with the Storybook cartridge set at 1 3/4 and popped everything up!

They are both very happy with them, and I think they turned out great myself! hehe!

Good Morning!

Its a bright sunny day here in Texas this morning. We do have possibility of storms this afternoon....which does NOT make me happy! But we do need the rain, when the temps start entereing 95 in May, we NEED rain!

I am sharing a little tag I created with a stamp from Texan Design's. I just love this little guy, wearin' his Daddy's boots...(ah, the days when mine was little!) I created this on Saturday morning at a fun and FREE little make n take they held at the coolest ever Scrapbooking center. Lone Star Retreat center. This is such a cool place and a fantastic place to hold a weekend retreat or all day crop. You really gotta check this out!

Howdy Ya'll! (true Texas style ***giggle***)

It's FRIDAY! YEA! This has been a reallllyyyy loooonnnngggg week! Glad for the weekend to be here and spend some time with my hubby!

He should have been home last night, but he is not coming home till today, so I will be glad to see him.

He had a really tough day on Wednesday doing the remodel he has been working on...1st he stuck a drill bit through his pinkie finger....then he was TOO lazy to go turn off the breaker to the bathroom and was wiring lights, touched the ground with the other and shocked the "BA geezers" out of himself! Then of that was not enough he stuck the utility knife into his thumb about an hour after that when he was working on something else!

Heck, I told him to please just come home in a few pieces anyways!!! I am working on a little "goodies" to give him when he gets home today! I think I will fill it up with a first aid kit! No not really, some chocolate chip cookies for him :-)

I will show you that tomorrow. But for now, these are the little picnic baskets (I have the template from My Time Made Easy, by Lauren Meader) I made for my Mother-in-law and Momma M to match their cards for Mothers Day. They really loved them, I filled them both with some candles and some bath stuff so they could take a break! :-)

The CCS Sketch Challange...and Happy Tuesday!

Good morning all you fine folks!

Hope everyone enjoyed Mother's Day...I have a few things this week which I created for my Mom's, however today I am going to show you my take on this weeks CCS sketch challenge.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this weeks sketch! I will use it lots more, that is for sure!

I used PTI white cardstock (I love this stuff! They make rockin paper!) for my base. The designer papers are from SEI, and the brown is Stampin UP! The sentiment is also SU.

Good Morning all you Gals, Moms, Daughters and great Women!

I hope you all have a terrific day! Today I am showing you the cards I made for my MIL and My Moma M! (My Dad's wife) Just a side note here, I really miss my TRUE Mom, My Grandmother on this day every year. I so miss her, and wish she were here. But I was blessed to have her for 83 SUPER GREAT years, and I praise the Lord above for that! She made me what I am today!

Now onto the cards, my MIL's favorite colors is green, so I am sure you can guess which one is hers....

These are large cards, 51/2X4, as I wanted them to be longer because I am placing a poem in them. I will share the poem at the end of this post (I saw this a few days ago at Lauren's blog and loved it!), for all the Mom out there!

The Poem is below!

Before I was a Mom, I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn’t worry whether or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom - I had never been puked on.  Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on.                  I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts. I slept all night. 
Before I was a Mom, I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests Or give shots. I never looked into teary eyes and cried. I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom,  I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn’t want to put her down.  I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn’t stop the hurt. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much. I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom - I didn’t know the feeling of having my heart outside my body. I didn’t know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn’t know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn’t know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom - I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay. I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom. 
I didn’t know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

Senior Prom dinner! Happy FRIDAY!

Good Friday morning gals!
Hope you all have some great plans for the weekend! and that each one of you have a fantastic Mother's Day! Dear Hubby is going to cook Brisket for his Mom and I, I soooo love his brisket...and his Mom!! She is one of my very best friends, I know I know...I am one lucky girl! **Wink** She is a true doll though and I really treasure her!

Now onto my little project. My brother and SIL are having their sons Senior prom dinner at their house. My SIL has themed it "Dinner under the stars" She is decorating it very formal--Black White Silver. It is going to be gorgeous. She has tons and tons of white lights that will be hanging all around, 3 full round tables, and all of this in their backyard next to the swimming pool! There will 9 couples (18 TEENS! **ROLLING MY EYES**) and she and my brother will be serving them! She asked me to create the place cards for this event. I wanted to be sure they would be elegant for such a special occasion! I can NOT believe my nephew is graduating! UGH!

Any was...I pulled out my Big Shot, used my diagonal folder on the black card stock from PTI, I then cut the white piece down (PTI as well), all the names are cut out using my Cricut with the Jasmine cartridge. You really can not tell in the pictures but the Girls names are in Glitter black paper, the Guys are velvet! Then I added the pearls on the girls and the black bling on the guys! These will really shine!!!

That's what happens around here with my two sons (23 & 17) ***ROLLING MY EYES***! Not to mention my dear sweet husband! But he is out of town right now, so he calls several times during the day....it's a wonder I get anything created some days! :-)

Birthday and CCS Sketch

Hey Chicka's!

Hope your weekend has been a relaxing and fun filled time. Mine has been go here go there...I want to go to the "stay all night SPA" for a week! ahhhh, dreams.....

Anyway, onto my little project. I created this project for my sisters birthday. I used the CCS sketch challenge at the Creative Clear Stamps blog! If you missed the 1st year birthday party last week, you missed a great time!!! Laura had EVERYTHING! Even a Let's make a deal game on Friday! Some fun times!!!

On to the creation, first is the little magnet that will go on her refrigerator! Its so adorable, and it fits so nicley right in the front of the "basket" attached to the front of the card. The first picture shows it without the magnet, the next one shows it with the magnet added! I think my sister will love this card! :-) It adds a very neat and final touch. Let me know what you think...

Its been rough around here with this 17 year old know it all we live with! OH LORDY they are tough! Things in this world just are out a control!!!

Well, enough of my whinning...***HEHE*** On to what I created for a tag book swap I joined over on SCS.

The Blue side is the back of the tag, then you see the group of all the tags, then finally the front side of the tag. Hope they like them, I love the birdie papers ***giggle***.

This should be a great little giftie for someone. Its a scripture/Christian tag book, the requirements were for Faith, Hope, and Love theme...with the eyelet having to be the large or extra large size, so that a binder ring will go through it, this way it will make a cute little tag book.

Well today I have the last piece of what "Charlie Meeker" recieved all his goodies in, and the card that went to mom and dad!

Well here are some more little gifties for the Meeker's little boy Charlie. I created this little accordion book for pictures. We all know first baby has tons of those! **giggle** I think they will enjoy this, and I placed his name on the little box holder as well. I also sent some extra matching papers so they could add to it as they wanted.

YIPPEEE It's Saturday!

As I promised in yesterday's post, I am going to share a little something I created for the Meeker's new little boy! I swiped these pictures when "daddy" posted them on facebook, right after Charlie was born. I simply printed them up and then framed them, from there I just cut out the letters on my Cricut and glued them on! Simple as that! I have a few more things to show you that all go together with Charlie's gifts tomorrow! :-)

Hello everyone,
Well I am really glad it is Friday and this week is coming to and end. This has been the week from hades!

Just a few examples, I pulled the water hose to hard and broke the hose bib thing off, (of course my dearest hubby is working out of town right now!), the 2 boys fixed that before church on Wednesday night, then we come home Wednesday night, and WOW! NO HOT WATER! :0

So we all worked on that till 2AM, with hubby on the phone...to no success. Hubby really believed it was the thermostat, so he would fix when he got home on Friday! :-) Well, well, guess what...We had to have a brand NEW one :-) OH YIPPEEE! See what I mean, and that is just a snap shot of the week, so I am glad hubby is home...and blessed to have hot water again!

I did get a little project completed this week, it has several parts, so the first one today is the tooth fairy pillow! My mother in law makes these and I so love them. It has a little pocket on back for the child to place a tooth in, then the tooth fairy to put the money in...adorable! So she made this one for my youngest son's boss (Dave in Chicago). I created many many things to go with it, so you will have to come back here tomorrow, to see more goodies! That I made **WINK WINK**

Good Morning!

Hope you had a fantastic weekend. I got to enjoy time spent with my Grandaughter, Kyla. It's been a while since we have gotten her, so her Daddy and I drove down and picked her up on Thursday. Though it was a long drive, it was so worth it. he is a gem!

While we were there, we ran by drug emporium to pick a RX, and low and behold, I found a great deal on these frames! $1.25 each!!! WOOOO. I picked up all 6 that they had, which was fantastic, because I have a swap on SCS I am in for some framed art. I had some frames, but was not really pleased with them.

The ONLY catch to these "cheapy" frames was that they all said GRADUATE! As I was looking at them, it was on the inside edge, so the mirror reflects the words...so low and behold I decided that I could use ribbon to cover that up...and make a fantastic piece of framed scripture...so there ya go! WaLa! A master piece is born! **giggle**

Good morning everyone!

I am sharing a little candle I made for my mother-in-law this morning. She loves green, so I added some detail to this and also covered some tea lights, which she loves as well, with the matching paper.

She just thought that was so special, and funny thing is, it was so so easy!

I love the look and it matched here house, so she was thrilled! ;-)

I have a busy day today, going to meet a crafty buddy for lunch, as we have been trying to exchange Christmas presents since before Christmas!!! Good greif, life is just to busy!

Well, here is the bag and little gift I promised from yesterday's post. Since our son turned 17...and he is quite the REBEL....I just had to use my "Dazzler" to make him some boxers with that on the hiney! hehe He turned really red when he opened them at the table last night at the cafe’! hehe Serves him RIGHT!

As for the bag, I made it to match his card, it turned out pretty neat looking.

We took him to a place in a little town called Round Top, Texas (Its between Austin and Houston) This place has AMAZING food, and they are known for their pies! If you are ever in Texas and want a great place to go, you must check it out! Royers Cafe in Round Top, Texas

A 17th Birthday card

Howdy out there!

Well yesterday was my youngest sons 17th birthday! WOW! Kinda of bitter sweet! :-) ;=(

Any-who, I created this little card for him and the bag matches it. To cute, but the pictures of the bag and one other little gifty won't be posted till tomorrow, as he is getting the other one this evening...we are going out of town to see Dad (dear husband is working out of town for the last few weeks) and eat some dinner.

Hope Easter was a Celebration

Hello Fellow crafters!

I hope each of you had a great Easter Celebration! I have lots of things to show you...so be ready!
First a few of the house decorations, my table and the Easter Tree.

I love the tree, as I always get a branch from the yard and spray it red (the blood of Jesus), then the eggs go on, (the new life of a hatched egg), butterflies (for the change from old to new ...caterpillar to butterfly). My table this year was very simple and clean, but very springy :-)! Light blues and yellows mostly.

I created each of the kids and their guests Easter pails.

Each had their own name tags, candy bouquet style pails with candies each stuck up on sticks. Also the 3 tags were for my niece's baskets for my sister in law.

They matched the colors of their baskets. All in all I got a lot of crafting done of the weekend, and used my Cricut TONS! Which was lots of fun!

As I said in my title, I hope each of you had a great time with family and friends and made Easter a true celebration. Happy Wednesday!

A POST! :-) For a swap!

Good morning everyone,

I actually got to work on some crafty stuff this past week. I joined a swap called "What do u CRICUT?" Everyone using their cricuts to create different things.

Here is what I did.

I first created the "flower" box which I then cut out the watering pail and firefly and attached to it. I then took some starbucks frapp bottles, filled with goodies and covered. I used another cricut cartridge to create the tag which says Friends Forever and attached it all together to hand on the bottle.

Turned out pretty cute. All the little boxes have a small clear stamp based on Spring from Studio G. Hope they all enjoy the goodies. I know I enjoyed getting back to crafting!

Good Monday evening crafters!

I can't wait to show you all my craft room. Its almost finished and I can actually start crafting again! WHOOOOO HOOOO!!!! I have been throwing away and organizing for a week now, off and on. Have two Doctors appointments tomorrow, and

then maybe get to work on a swap I actually joined. First time

Hello friends!

Wow can you believe it! I actually was able to make my sister-in-law a necklace for her birthday!!! WHOOT! I am so excited. This is the front and back views, she can wear it either way. When all calms down around here again, and my mother moves to an apt...I will be able to begin creating everyday again!!! I cant wait!!!

Until then it will be small things. I began working on this back in December because I am not able to take time...but did get it finished ion time for her Birthday, which was the 14th, but we are having a party tonight for her and my hubby who is 40 today!!! :-)

Hello everyone, hope the start to your new year was great! Mine was really uneventful! We stayed home and James shoot fireworks for us, the blessing was our 16 year old and his bff came home and burnt a bon fire and shoot fireworks too....so that was nice knowing they were home and safe. I am going to share a few Christmas Pictures with you and hopefully will get back to regular blogging soon! The first one is my Christmas tree, and the Christmas table setting, the third is my Grandaughter opening her gifts, and the last one is Sophie (Jory's friend), Jory (my 16 year old), Chasity (my son Jeff's wife), Jeffrey (My oldest son 23), Wes, (my daughter boy-friend 4 + years), Jamie (my daughter 22) Thanks for sharing a little Christmas time with me :-) and Happy Happy Blessed new Year to each of you!

DIGIMENTS & my Cricut! :-)

Good evening stamp lovers!

Tonight is a quickie post, but hey at least I am posting! LOL

FIRST you really must must must go see what is happening over at DIGIMENTS! I love these things! They are so easy and fun to work with, and Michelle is a terrific artist, the images are so clean and crisp!!! On top of that Michelle has also decided to do honor a great charity with her sales this month...GO NOW and check it out!!! This month, DIGIMENTS is giving 50% of all sales to this cause.

Secondly I did get to play with my cricut a little bit a few weeks ago and I came up with this little tag for a friend of mine. She needed a tag for a new born baby basket for an fellow employee. They wanted it to have the name and details on it. So here it is. HUH, not such a short post either! LOL

Well, I figured I better do an update before everyone thinks I was just MIA! LOL I have had a busy busy last couple of months. My mother came to live with us, and we are still in the process of many many reinovations all at once! GRRRR. But the great news is, we got my craft room, floors in, painted walls, trim in and shelves up, so I am in the process of putting it back together...so you will see pictures very soon! :-)

I have one little goody for today...really must go...now have had an emergecy will be back later to finish this post! OOPS, sorry for the delay. The people I work for had an emergency, her husband was having CHEST pain because of some ant bites and he would not allow anyone to call the ambulance, so I had to go take him to the dr. turns out he is fine, but that was a scare.

OK, back to my post I have a little card I did for a fall swap on SCS, I realy like the way it turned out, that scarcrow is so stinking cute! :-)

Good morning!

Well Thursday...means its almost Friday, and a three day weekend, for the Labor Day Holiday!!! YEAH!

Today I am going to show you the last little piece of the "magnet" gift set. I did the magnet, the card and a bookmark as a little set. These would be great for teachers, friends, and stocking stuffers (UGH! its almost that time!) Can you believe its SEPTEMBER!

Also in this post is a digital page I created for my sister-in-law of her two boys. (One is thier's, the other is their adopted) They are both Seniors this year and this will be in the football programs for the year. It was a lot of fun, and something they will get to treasure forever!

Well here is the card I made to go with yesterday's magnet. I thought it turned out OK, nit my most favorite. What I do love is the cross piece...a friend send me the little tag and the gold crosses as part of a great birthday package and I used them on these. I do love the verse as well...just mojo had go "soso" oh well, sometimes that happens.

Have another busy busy day today and will be running like CRAZY! :-)

Good Monday morning all!

Today is a Monday...glad there is only one day called Monday! I am already rushing and I have been up since 5am!!! Good grief! This will be a quickie post, as I have to take a poodle (not one of mine!) to the vet.

I am showing off one little piece I made for a "Faith Gift" swap I was in on SCS today. This is part of the set...This is a wood magnet and I love how it turned out. Stay tuned the rest of the week to see all of the pieces of this cute set. I got these wooden magnets at IKEA, and then just decorated away! It was a great deal, as they where like $2 for a pack of 3, and will make great little gifts for Teachers, friends, hair stylist, etc... :-)

Good morning bloggers!
Well, today is my sons first day of school, as a Junior in HS! :0! Now I am going to cry...he has not been in a public school in many many years. But today he begins a new adventure! WOW and Mom is a big BABY! LOL

Anyway, here is a card I created last week, I made 8 of them...for my Forest swap on SCS. They turned out pretty cute and I love the embossing...looks real elegant!
