Happy MOTHER's Day!

Good Morning all you Gals, Moms, Daughters and great Women!
I hope you all have a terrific day! Today I am showing you the cards I made for my MIL and My Moma M! (My Dad's wife) Just a side note here, I really miss my TRUE Mom, My Grandmother on this day every year. I so miss her, and wish she were here. But I was blessed to have her for 83 SUPER GREAT years, and I praise the Lord above for that! She made me what I am today!
Now onto the cards, my MIL's favorite colors is green, so I am sure you can guess which one is hers....

These are large cards, 51/2X4, as I wanted them to be longer because I am placing a poem in them. I will share the poem at the end of this post (I saw this a few days ago at Lauren's blog and loved it!), for all the Mom out there!

Hope you enjoy them, please leave me some love here to let me know what you think.

Happy Sunday...Gotta go get ready for church, they are doing pictures for Mom's today of their families! :-)

 The Poem is below!

Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn’t worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom -
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
 Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn’t want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn’t stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom -
I didn’t know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn’t know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn’t know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn’t know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.

I didn’t know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

  1. Hey Shelly, thanks for your sweet comment on my blog (Dancing with Stamps.) One of the reasons for not wanting to stop the blog was because I love the name as you do. Funny. But as God asks me to peek around new doors, I find others simply close on their own. Thanks for visiting! I hope you equally enjoy my Always Stampin' blog. Your Mother's Day cards here are lovely! Happy Mother's Day to ya!
